Show Notes

Description: Join Host Melinda as she explores, along with her guests, what shame is and why we let this emotion tells us that we are not good enough, that we are unworthy of love, that we are damaged and unrepairable, that we are inadequate. This emotion, if not dealt with, can lead to anger, isolation, addictive behaviours and low self-esteem. This conversation exposes the lies of SHAME, the antidotes of shame (life with Jesus) and gives tools and resources to help us deal with our shame. Our guests Sathiya Sam (a pastor who struggled with Porn addiction and shame for 15 years), Grace Spencer ( a pastor who wrote her thesis on how the Church can respond to shame), and Andrea Groenewald (a registered psychotherapist that helps clients identify and conquer shame) share their courageous personal stories and how they help others overcome shame.
